Batman /bruce Wayne Michael Keaton

"Play It Again, Sam" is a hilarious film starring Woody Allen and Diane Keaton. As always, Woody's acting and humor is superb in this film. The movie is a clever sort of spoof of Casablanca, with Jerry Lacy playing the role of Humphrey Bogart's ghost, who guides the under-confident recent divorce Allen Felix, played by Woody, through romance. The movie ends with a scene spoofing the famous scene at the end of Casablanca outside the airport in which Rick bids Ilsa and her husband farewell.

Allen Felix is devastated after his wife leaves him, telling him that he's no fun. He dreams of being like Humphrey Bogart, his idol. Following his divorce, his best friend Dick (Tony Roberts) and his wife Linda (Diane Keaton) try to fix him up with several women, but each date he goes on turns out to be a disaster. All the while, however, Allen and Linda find themselves getting closer while Linda's husband estranges her, placing priority on his business.

Eventually Allen and Linda fall in love and have an affair. Allen wonders how he will break the news to her husband, fearing the worst from him. In the end, however, things work out. Linda and Dick work out their problems. As they board a plane to Cleveland, Allen delivers the same famous lines from Casablanca to Linda and Dick as Humphrey Bogart delivers to Ilsa Lund (Ingrid Bergman) and Victor Lazslo (Paul Heinreid). Afterward he says, "That's from Casablanca. I've waited my whole life to say it."
