Spiderman's a popular costume at Halloween, particularly the last few years with the success of the movie series. He got his powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider, giving him all the abilities of the spider only magnified. Spidey has always been a bit of an anti-hero, being a bit on the cynical side and being the target of attacks from the likes of J.J. Jameson. Part of the reason for this could be the fact that he hides his face with a full mask, something many heroes don't do. In fact, some heroes are superheroes first, and their disguise is really their alter-ego, such as Clark Kent for Superman. Spiderman has global appeal. He has appeared in comics, TV shows (both cartoons and live action), movies and more over the years. There are many fan clubs around the world that are devoted to all things Spiderman related. The costume is a big part of this appeal. For Halloween, you can find Spidey costumes in sizes for all ages, from kids to adults. They even come with built-in muscles, in case you're not quite able to live up to the image! The great thing about choosing Spiderman as your Halloween costume is the fact that you get to wear a full mask, completely hiding your true identity if you want. If you're going to a party or some other event, it's always kind of fun to keep people guessing as to who you really are. Just don't start doing things you wouldn't do if your identity was known.
