Superman Doomsday History

Alfred Gough has a long history working in the comic book business. Not real comic books, mind you. Just adapting them to both TV and the big screen. However, as one learns in the exclusive BuddyTV interview, Al Gough wasn't a fan of comic books growing up. This is interesting, especially considering the success Mr. Gough has had in his days as a writer of many a comic book adaptation.

Does it take an outsider to put a new spin on the comic book genre? Loyal, life long fans of comic may not have the ability to break off from whatever tried and true formula permeates whatever comic they are adapting. It is certainly possible that a die hard Superman fan is wholly incapable of creating something like Smallville. I believe this because Smallville, is by all means, a radical take on the Superman mythology, yet it is beloved by fans of Superman and comic book laymen alike.

Anyway, Al Gough gives BuddyTV an insightful and informative interview into the inner workings of production on a successful TV show, as well as a sneak peak at what fans can begin expecting in the coming year. He makes it clear that, if The CW renews them, they are all aboard to go ahead with a seventh season. This is, obviously, great news for Smallville fans. The interview should be ingested with great joy by all those fans out there. It's a rare chance to pick the brain of the man behind the curtain.

We also get some inside info on the future of a character like the Green Arrow, who has wowed and impressed fans since he was introduced. Played by Justin Hartley, Gough tells us about the possibility of a spin off, as well as a look at the villains we can expect to see throught the rest of the season. Check out the interview at BuddyTV. You won’t regret it.
