Finding an easy song to play on the guitar is one of the first steps in learning to make real music. Many beginner guitar players are put off by not being able to make music straight away. Very very simple, as the best ones always are, and something that won’t take too long for you to get to grips with. The chords are: Em, Bm, Em, Bm...and that’s it, all the way through. The rhythm is easy to get if you listen to the recording, and if you know the Em pentatonic scale, you can put some great little licks and solos in there too. Easy Song To Play On The Guitar 2: A Boy Named Sue by Johnny Cash. Playing songs like this is just about the best way to get addicted to guitar playing because it will make you forget about practicing and get better just by having fun. It’s nice and simple so you can have a lot of fun with this one. The chords are: G, C, D, G...repeated until the end. Easy Song To Play On The Guitar 3: House of The Rising Sun, by The Animals. An excellent song, and though many people don’t know it by name, they’ll soon recognise it when you start to play. A pretty good song to get people singing along to! The chords are: Am, C, D, F, Am, E, Am. Easy Song To Play On The Guitar 4: Gloria, by Van Morrison/Them, and also a well known cover by The Doors. This is a truly great and powerful song, as it builds and builds all the way through for a truly dramatic ending.
