Snows Lake Vineyard has taken advantage of the high elevated volcanic soils of Lake County California to produce an exciting new addition to the wine world. Their Snows Lake One 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon and Snows Lake Two 2004 Cabernet Blend have been labeled by wine critics as rich, and intense. Although a winner by taste and a potential success by brand, the red hills just north of Napa Valley was only recently recognized for a suitable vineyard location. The Mayacamas Mountains were not considered the best conditions for harvesting grapes for wine production. The volcanic soil was perceived as too acidic and the necessary grape growth for producing a suitable wine was not believed possible. The current vineyard owners, the Myers family with their impressive farming history and understanding of the soil decided to prove the wine community wrong when Snows Lake Vineyard was able to product a wine for the world to enjoy like its well known Napa Valley neighbors. If doubt of such a grape still exists then perhaps a visit to Northern California is in store for you. Boardering Clear Lake, Lake County is a wonderful site seeing destination. Snows Lake captured much more than a tasteful wine producing vineyard when they placed their grapes within the hills of the Mayacamas Mountains, they captured a breathtaking view. Before you die, get a bottle of Snows Lake and watch the sunset as the red hills slope into the beautiful Clear Lake. The only perceivable downside to Snows Lake wine collection is their limited quantity. Only for sale by the case, it serves as a great purchase for wine enthusiasts or food and wine establishments. Act fast if interested, their self branded wine stock will not be available for long. http://www.snowslakevineyard.com/ Source: www.isnare.com |
